1. Young founders
Mark Zuckerberg was only 19 years old when he co-founded “TheFacebook” on 4 february 2004 from his dorm room. Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes were the other co-founders who were also aged between 19-20 years.
Initially Facebook was know as “THEFACEBOOK” when it launched in 2004 and all the co-founders were students from Harvard University.
2. Only for Harvard University students

One of the less known Facebook facts is that in the early days Facebook was limited only for Harvard students. But later the founders expanded their reach to other colleges and universities in America and Canada like Stanford University, Ivy league etc and by 2006 to everyone above 13 years of age with a valid e-mail id.
3. Race to buy Facebook.
Facebook was an instant hit at Harvard as soon as it was launched. And one of the most interesting Facebook facts is that many companies offered Zuckerberg huge amount to buy Facebook, but Zuckerberg turned all the offers down.
One of the biggest offers he rejected was from YAHOO back in 2005 when they offered to buy Facebook for $1 billion.
4. Ruchi Sanghvi
Facebook 1st female engineer was an Indian girl by the name of Ruchi Sanghvi. Sanghvi pursued her Bachelors and Masters degree from Carnegie Melon University in the field of electrical computer engineering.

Mark Zuckerberg holds the record for being the youngest billionare in the world. He became a billionare at the age of 23. Other co-founders of Facebook also enjoy billionaire status.

Facebook has around 1.23 billion monthly active users all over the world, out of which more than 945 million user access Facebook from their mobile phone and it has more than 728 million daily users.
Facebook registered its 1 millionth user on December 2004 and it registered its 1 billionth user on October 2012.
